21st century - 'the era of Tourism'. Tourism is a growth industry in many countries and regions of the world. Japan is no exception. Tourism is regarded as one of the leading industries, and the Japanese government works positively on tourism policy and projects with the aim of making Japan a tourism oriented nation through an integrated approach with public and private organisations. There is a high expectation for growth from leaders in the intellectual and academic field of tourism with international and interdisciplinary vision, responding to a globalised world.

Description of the Faculty
- Tourism is an interdisciplinary study relating to every aspect of human life and culture. Diverse subjects ranging from humanities, social sciences and natural sciences are offered.
- Opportunities are available to Students not only learn the latest tourism theory, but also practical skills through local engagement programs with municipalities and international study programs in collaboration with overseas universities.
- Unique practical subjects taught in Japanese such as "Tourism Producing" and "Japanese Culture" are offered for specialised tourism education. Additionally, the Global Program is designed to equip students with competence and communication ability required in the international market.
