Teaching (30%)
?Selecting and teaching topics in Japan Studies
?Planning and implementing experiential learning programs for international students
Research (20%)
?Conducting research in the areas of international education and Japan Studies
(Culture, History, or Society)
Student Support (20%)
?Providing international students with academic consultation
?Promoting student exchange programs and other international programs
International Cooperation (30%)
?Promoting existing international cooperation agreements between universities
?Assisting negotiation for new agreements
5. Appointment Date
October 1, 2023, or the earliest possible date thereafter
6. Application Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements
(1) Master's degree or above
(2)?First language is other than Japanese.
(3) Experience in studying or working in Japan.? Japanese proficiency at CEFR B2 level
or equivalent Japanese proficiency
(4) English proficiency suited to providing effective college-level teaching and working
in international environments.
*Teaching or working experience in the higher education sector or international organizations
? in Japan or abroad is preferred.
7. Terms of Employment
?Employment Period: Appointment date~March 31, 2027
?Employment Type: Full-time (6 months probationary period)
?Retirement age: 65 years old.
?Work Schedule: 5 days a week, basic work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
(7 hours and 45 minutes per day).
?Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and year-end and New Year holidays
(12/29 - 1/3).
?Salary: Based on the annual salary system in accordance with the salary regulations
for faculty members of Wakayama University
