The Asia Pacific Tourism Association Annual Conference (APTA 2024) was held between 3rd and 5th July in Macau, China.

From Wakayama University, CTR researchers, Assoc. Prof. Kaede Sano and Assoc. Comparing Traditional Information Searching Process with ChatGPT". They presented results from their biometric data which encompassed eye-tracking, galvanic skin response and facial expression data. This impactful research was funded by the CTR Joint Research Program Fund FY2023. And CTR Visiting Junior Fellow, Mr. Hao Sun and Mr. Masanao Tachibana also presented their research.

CTR has been a sponsor for the APTA Annual Conference since 2015. A desk for sponsors was set up again this year, and CTR researchers, Dr. Mohamed Elbarbary and Dr. Ryutaro Yamakita actively promoted CTR during the conference. In addition, the Wakayama University organization logo appeared on banners and pamphlets, providing an opportunity for many researchers to recognize CTR, and we will continue to contribute to the development of tourism research.
