[Event report] CTR Tourism Education Forum 2023

Center for Tourism Research (CTR),Wakayama University held the “Tourism Education Forum 2023”.

Under the theme of "Improving tourism education and developing young tourism talent", Dr. Edith M. Szivas, a TedQual auditor from the UNWTO Academy, delivered the keynote speech on highlighting international case studies, and the quality improvement of tourism education through UNWTO.TedQual certification.

Following the keynote speech, four speakers from four TedQual certified institutions presented their insights and shared their educational programs and practical experiences.¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

After the presentations, a panel discussion also took place focusing on the evolution of tourism education in the future. Dr. Szivas addressed that this forum was a very valuable opportunity for all TedQual accreditation institutions to meet face-to-face and that she would look forward to the further improvement of tourism education and training in Japan.
