The Center for Tourism Research (CTR) at Wakayama University will hold this symposium series to promote the importance of destination management and exchange knowledge and experiences on this theme from various perspectives.

This year's symposium, under the theme of “Current issues and future prospects in responsible tourism management”, will feature experienced and accomplished experts from higher education and industry in Japan who will share their expertise and experience.

* 'Adventure World' is an amusement park with a zoo and a public aquarium, located in the town of Shirahama, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by AWS Co., Ltd. The park opened on April 22, 1978 as Nanki Shirahama World Safari.
